Ezra Klein on Vox
Rebranding of video essays by Ezra Klein, co-founder and former editor-in-chief of Vox.
Brief
This all began to add more colors around Ezra. The political landscape at the time was going through big changes and the Vox youtube channel was planning on having Ezra be more of a frequent guest to give the the viewers more context. They had usually put him in front of a blank white wall for his talking head shots and wanted a creative solution.

Design
I wanted to add soft textures like wood to soften the environment but keep the seriousness of the topics at hand. Wood pieces were individually cut and hand painted — some wooden pieces were wrapped in newspaper which added depth to the texture. All the pieces were made in New York and assembled in San Francisco. The wall was used as inspiration for rest of the graphics package.
